The Help Santa Toy Parade
The Help Santa Toy Parade has been an Ottawa tradition for more than half a century. Joining the 55th annual parade was an experience we won't soon forget.
The Help Santa Toy Parade is a community initiative that has grown into a more than half-century tradition in Ottawa. Its goal — coming together as a city to make sure Christmas arrives for families who need a little extra during the holiday season — is not something to take lightly.
Our team spent the day on the route with the Ottawa Professional Fire Fighters Association and thousands of very cold, very happy kids, collecting toys destined for local families.
It is one of the highlights of our year. Our crews, their families and a good number of our trades all turn out, and every toy collected stays right here in Ottawa.
